Another particularly impressive figure of old Tibet was the 15th Talung Rinpoche,
in the end of 2006 some group of his followers have organized rinpoches escape
from his winter palace of TALUNG DODRUBLING. The preparations for the escape
were made in absolute secrecy and strictly followed instructions received from

Creeping in the nights, hiding in the days,The group have reached the snow
mountains after severals weeks.The border was away by several days still.
The rugged terrain withered them to strains. Finally on 20th, October 2007 The
15th Talung rinpoche with his escape group, staggered into Bhutan, nestled in
Himalaya. The group had trekked for few weeks through the world's highest
mountains, enduring storms, frigid temperatures, and treacherous trails to escape
from Tibet.
The 15th Talung Rinpoche of the Talung Kagyu Kagyu lineage, one of Tibetan
Buddhism's four main schools -- has not spoken of his journey publicly for fear of
endangering more peoples at his Tibetan nomadic areas, the Talung region.
Much of his path through Bhutan, a former Buddhist kingdom, a territory almost
entirely isolated from the world until the last decade, has wellcomed him with warm wellcome and great respect for his tremendous courage and diffuculities he has proposed.
The 15th Talung Rinpoche is now on his way to meet with H.H The 14th Dalai Lama and H.H the
17th Karmapa. At the moment rinpoche is still recovering from the wounds from
his escaped journey.
